Ben Turner is a Senior Security Consultant within the penetration testing team at Nettitude. Ben has over 6 years’ experience in the information security sector. During this time Ben has worked with a huge client and many well-known private organisations worldwide. Ben now specialises in conducting red teaming focussed penetration tests, including pivoting (lateral movement) and remote network infiltration but also has a wide variety of knowledge in many testing areas. He also performs scenario-based penetration tests against numerous target types while reviewing and assessing the customer’s incidence response (IR) capability and maturity levels. Ben has been through both the CREST team leader infrastructure exam and the attack specialist exam (CCSAS), including taking various hacking courses such as, Advanced PowerShell, OSCP and WAHH. Ben also runs a joint security blog at hackwhackandsmack.com and frequently contributes to open source tools and penetration testing frameworks, such as Metasploit.
I am an active pen tester and have been working in IT for over 10 years and specializing in Security for 7 years. I plan to use this blog to vent, learn and share information. I am always trying to stay current with my skills and want to give back to the community all in aid of making the world a better place :P……… or something like that!
